It is stated that I, Patrick Dempsey, have been associated with the childcare department for 18 years. My services to the department have always been exceptional and I have never received a warning. After all these years of service, retirement is approaching soon. It will be a difficult task for me to sit idle at home and not get ready for a day’s work. Therefore, I came up with the idea of a business proposal that society is in dire need of, but they do not realize.

During my service, one of the major issues we faced was the use of substandard diapers and their adverse effects on the children. Many children have to go through a difficult time in a hospital due to these diapers. The quality of diapers makes them harmful for use but they are available at every store and replace good diapers because they are cheap. My department came across hundreds of such cases each month and the problem was never solved as there are various brands producing bad diapers.

Therefore, I came with the idea of establishing a manufacturing plant to produce high-quality but cost-effective diapers so that parents do not fall victim to cheap and low-quality material. I need to approve my business proposal from the XYZ department therefore, I attached the proposal with the following letter. Kindly consider my request.

Introduction

The invention of disposable nappies changed the dynamics of childcare in the early days. To date, diapers are a great way to keep the wet bottoms of the baby covered. From their invention till now, diapers have always seen success due to their usage. Each child needs diapers, therefore, this industry never faced recession just like childbirth in the world. Installing a diaper manufacturing plant will be good for society as there are many low-quality brands. They are used heavily because diapers are cheap and branded diapers are expensive.

Competition is not high and the products will be able to take place in the market. Diapers produced will be extra absorbing and very light so that children are not irritated by them. Using bad quality diapers causes rashes and infections in children as their chemicals interact with the skin of babies and disrupts it.

The manufacturing plant will be installed beside the cement factory in the old area. It will be far away from the populated area to protect the public from the effluents of the factory. It will be 30 minutes drive from London Mall.

Objectives

To install a manufacturing plant and start the production process is not an easy task and can only be achieved through sheer hard work and determination. The goal can be achieved by dividing it into small, doable, and manageable step such as the following objectives,

Management

The workings of the manufacturing plant will be managed by the hired management. There will be many employees working in the plant and manufacturing diapers. These include,

The manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the plant and will be able to handle any unforeseen situation among workers or other individuals.
50 workers will be working to manufacture diapers for 6 days a week and 1000 diapers will be manufactured each day. Workers will get one day off in an entire week.
The receptionist will keep the log of each worker and other staff members. He will be responsible for answering any queries regarding the plant.
The administration department will take care of all legal issues related to manufacturing and will also distribute pay among workers and other staff members.
Vendors will procure raw materials from different places and make arrangements for their shipment to the plant. They will keep track of the raw materials and will make sure they are in ample amount.

Marketing strategies

The success of each business mainly depends on the strategies they use to promote their products. A good strategy is one that reaches the public and draws customers to the stores for purchasing products. Some of the strategies that can be used include,

Brochures: Brochures of the products that provide all information regarding products are delivered at homes of every individual to gain their attention
Advertisement: Advertisements on television can also attract customers as people carefully watch television
Social Media: Every other person who uses social media and posts regarding a specific product can reach its customer in no time.
Hospitals and gynecology clinics can be supplied with free-of-cost diapers so that doctors endorse these diapers to their patients and new mothers.
New-born shops of each mall will showcase our diapers to attract parent’s attention.
Distributors and wholesalers will be contacted to sell these products in different places.
